“It was too much to overcome. Her shoulders shook, and she closed her eyes. “What have I

Gambled away her future, and Pippa’s, on a whim of independence and an unfulfilled dream.

“Look at me.” His soft expression offered a glimmer of hope. “What did you see?”

“At first I saw what it could be, a marvelous soccer complex where everyone was having fun
and competing hard, but then…”

Carefully managing his crutch under his arm, he cradled her chin with his hand. Those
crinkles deepened, and he was that much more attractive. That look in his deep brown eyes
reminded her of summer days while they were dating and when he was about to kiss her.

“Then what?”

“I saw what exists, a mess of monumental proportion, a shadow of what it could be.”
His fingers caressed her jaw. “It will get better. Sometimes things have to reach their worst
before their best can be achieved.”

THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS PROMISE is the not the first book I’ve ever read by Tanya Agler and it won’t be the last for sure! It is a second chance small town romance and who doesn’t love that? The twists and turns keep coming and I had to know how it was going to end! Every time I thought I knew where this story was going, a few pages later, Ms. Agler threw me for a loop and I knew I was wrong! Oh my goodness, hold on tight everyone! It is a wild and crazy ride of emotions! This story held my interest from page one and had me yelling at the book when Carlos and Becks were being stubborn and not asking for help.

THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS PROMISE is a quick read and unputdownable! There were quite a few times when reading it that I was holding my breath, waiting for what I surely knew was coming. I found myself laughing one second and then tearing up the next. Becks is trying to open up a soccer complex. Before that happens there is a fire. Her ex, Carlos Ramirez is injured trying to battle the fire. How can she ever move on from her past when she now feels guilty that Carlos was hurt? Becks and Carlos used to be engaged until Becks became a professional soccer player. If you are looking for a beautiful story to pull you out of your book slump, you can’t go wrong with THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS PROMISE. Tanya Agler is now one of my auto buy authors.

I loved the way Carlos always included Beck’s daughter, Pippa in his plans. The bond he creates with her is so beautiful and heart tugging. Pippa is going to steal your heart as well as the dogs! Not to mention a firefighter! I mean, come on!! The twists and turns in THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS PROMISE are going to keep you up late into the night trying to figure it out. One minute you believe you know where Becks is going with her life and the next you are sitting there shaking your head, wondering what the heck just happened. I had my ideas, I had it all figured out, or so I thought, and BAM…….wrong again! Once you start reading, trust me, you aren’t going to be able to stop! When everything is finally revealed, well, you won’t believe it! That’s all I’m saying about this emotional story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading THE FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS PROMISE. All of the characters are on their own spiritual journey, not just Becks. It is heart warming and filled with so many different emotions. There is so much going on in this story, but Ms. Agler does a wonderful job of weaving all the pieces together. All of the characters will have you feeling sad and then giggling on the same page. More than once I wanted to be there with my new found friends! Once you finish devouring this story, you are going to want to tell everyone you know about this awesome book and then packing your bags for the base of the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
