MY REVIEW:

Okay, for the first time, Tracy Traynor owes me a box of tissues! Wow, she just ripped out my heart, stomped all over it, and I didn’t even see it coming! Keep the tissues close by as you are reading FAITH IN ABERTILLERY .  She will have your emotions all over the place. I have never read any other books by Tracy Traynor before but I know FAITH IN ABERTILLERY won’t be the last! Wow! What an awesome story. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! Tracy makes her readers feel every emotion her characters are feeling to the point where you feel as if you are right there, struggling along with them.

Faith needs to find a job and quickly.  Her mother relies on her as well as Bertie.  She begins working for Lord Geoffrey Driscoll as a maid.  Before that, she was a barmaid. Because everyone in the Wales village where she lives is going through a Welsh Revival, she loses her job.  Lord Driscoll is quickly taken with Faith but she does not encourage him.  She is a maid after all plus her family is dependant on her. She cannot lose her job again.  After a previous relationship turns sour, Faith promises herself to never trust another man with her heart so she keeps pushing Lord Driscoll away.

Faith is also keeping some very big secrets.  Secrets that if ever got told, would destroy her and her family.  No, she can’t tell anyone about her sinful past.  She knows she isn’t worthy of ever having the life she dreams of so she just keeps pushing on.  Will she ever be truly happy in her heart? Will she ever accept God in her life?
I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving away all of FAITH IN ABERTILLERY but once I started reading this beautiful and heart breaking story, I could not stop! Everyone should have this unforgettable book on their winter reading list. The dialogue between Faith and her co workers is just hysterical. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters from page one and I can not wait to read more by this wonderful and heart tugging author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from BooksGoSocial through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

FROM GOODREADS:

She’s given up on love. He’s marrying for money. But God has other plans…

South Wales, 1905. Faith only believes in the certainty of pain and suffering. Born with a club foot and harboring a dark secret, the barmaid can’t escape her sinful past. But after the country’s religious revival puts her out of a job, hope sparks when a handsome aristocrat gallantly offers her a second chance.

Lord Geoffrey Driscoll fears his estate will run out of money before he can find a suitable bride. However, the devout nobleman can’t keep his mind off the stunning redhead despite her lowly status. As the attraction between them grows, Lord Driscoll is torn between his need for a wife of means and his heart.

As Faith falls for Lord Driscoll’s kindness, she wishes that she could erase the sinful past that stands in the way of their union…

Can the troubled couple trust in God to light the way to true love?

Faith in Abertillery is a touching Christian historical romance. If you like stories of forgiveness, rich backdrops, and charming chemistry, then you’ll adore Tracy Traynor’s moving tale.

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome weekend!💜

  1. … heh heh … Being that I enjoy reading military history, when I read the title “AberTILLERY”, I thought it read “ARTILLERY’ and I was all set to read something about, perhaps, the 1st Armored Division, which includes ARTILLERY. 😂🤣😂🤣
