MY REVIEW:

ONLY HOME WITH YOU is the second book in the Blue Cedar Falls series. I am kicking myself after finishing this wonderful story because it took me so long to get to it and there are a few more Jeannie Chin stories that I have yet to read. I need to fix that very very soon. I loved Zoe in the first book, The Inn on Sweetbriar Lane and am thrilled she gets her own story.

Once I started reading ONLY HOME WITH YOU I had a very hard time putting it down. Devin is Zoe’s older brother, Han’s best friend. He has been going through the motions of life but is filled with self doubt. He is a man who went through so much as a child and has never come to terms with much of it. Devin is a really hard worker and a super nice guy who is being recognized for his hard work with a promotion, he’s hoping to buy land for a house, and he also has a crush on Zoe. Jeannie Chin pulled me right in and hooked me from the very first page. She is now an auto buy author for me. Her characters feel very real. They aren’t perfect and while they all have flaws they are also very lovable. I now know I will devour everything this awesome author writes and do it all easily with a smile on my face. I can not wait to continue this series!

I loved Zoe as soon as I met her as I’m sure all the other readers will as well. Zoe is an nudger. Its how she gets things done. She tries to fix everything and everyone. She is so good to Devin and doesn’t push him too much. Well, only when necessary haha. She waits for Devin to make the first move, but he is taking forever! Finally, she can wait no more! Once learning of all of the secrets and things Devin is going through I quickly wanted Zoe to be his friend and help him see his way through all of it. The more you get to know Devin, the more you understand him and exactly what he is feeling. But both Devin and Zoe, can’t deny their attraction for each other. Devin feels as if he isn’t good enough for Zoe so he tries not to act on his attraction to Zoe. He feels like he has nothing to offer Zoe. Can Zoe make him realize that she doesn’t see him as a poor man from the wrong side of the tracks? Will they get a chance to move their friendship in another direction?

I can not wait to continue with this wonderful series and I’m really looking forward to who the next book will be about. If you love small town romance then ONLY HOME WITH YOU will be the perfect read for you!
