MY REVIEW:

Wow, all I can say is, this story really took hold of my heart! Keep the tissues close by as you are reading THE AMISH BACHELOR’S BRIDE. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Noem and the children after so much heartache! What an awesome story. All of Pamela’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again. You will also wonder how in the world Noem will survive going from a bachelor to becoming responsible for two children. His sister has recently passed and he must raise her children as there is no one else, certainly not Noem’s father, Gabriel. He has been very bitter and crabby since his wife’s passing and thinks Noem is making a big mistake.

THE AMISH BACHELOR’S BRIDE is a Love Inspired book that is clean and sweet. Noem has always liked Lavinia, but never had the nerve to ask her out. She is a widow with a young child and is struggling because her husband left her with a huge amount of debt thanks to his gambling addiction. But Noem really needs her help and works up the courage, with the nudge from the bishop, to ask her if she will agree to a marriage of convenience with him. It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Lavinia and Noem as well as the kids. THE AMISH BACHELOR’S BRIDE is a heart felt story that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once you start reading, it will be very hard to put down! I found myself wishing and hoping that Noem and Lavinia would find a way to love each other and become a family.

THE AMISH BACHELOR’S BRIDE isn’t your typical Amish fiction story. It is filled with quite a few subjects that aren’t usually included in Amish fiction but Pamela Desmond Wright really handled the situations perfectly. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters. Pamela really knows how to write about personal struggles, trusting in ones faith, and forgiveness. I can not wait to read more by this wonderful and heart tugging author. The epilogue really completes the story perfectly and all questions I had were answered.

About the Author

Pamela Desmond Wright grew up in a small, dusty Texas town. Like the Amish, Pamela is a fan of the simple life. Her childhood includes memories of  the olden days; old-fashioned oil lamps, cooking over an authentic wood-burning stove and making popcorn over a crackling fire at her grandparents’ cabin. The cabin was later donated to The Muleshoe Heritage Center in Muleshoe Texas where it can be viewed by the public.
