MY REVIEW:

If you have been following my blog for a while now, you know that I love books by Mindy Obenhaus and THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION is exactly why. This is the first book in Mindy’s new series, Hope Crossing. It is a heart tugging story of coming home and trying to find happiness once again. How an author can keep writing these beautiful stories that touch my heart over and over again is beyond me! Gloriana has come home to help her mom and to try and apologize to the many people who she treated badly before she left. Many of those people aren’t ready to hear her apologies but Gloriana isn’t giving up since she let God in her life.

THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION introduces Gloriana to her mother’s ranch manager, Justin Broussard. These two cannot stand to be in the same room with each other, well, at first anyway. Justin’s teenage daughter, Kyleigh, is learning all about the rodeo and wants to be a barrel racer. Her coach is moving away and Kyleigh still has much to learn. Justin knows the only one who can help her is Gloriana as she was the champion way back when. Can they put their differences aside to help Kyleigh? Justin doesn’t trust that Gloriana is sincere and he worries about Kyleigh becoming too attached to her.

THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION is an awesome way to spend the afternoon or evening. I’m so excited to continue with the series and learn more about my new found friends. Once you start, you won’t be able to put THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION down. Mindy Obenhaus will pull you in from the very first page and never let you go! Even though this is a quick read, it packs one heck of a punch. Faith is woven into all of the character’s lives as well as forgiveness, hope, grace, healing, and eventually love. All of the characters are very relatable. So much so that I felt as if I’ve known them for a very long time. I’m so excited to continue with this series and see what is happening on the Prescott ranch!
