REVIEW:WYOMING PROMISE BY ANNA J STEWART

MY REVIEW:

WYOMING PROMISE is the story of Corliss Blackwell who, with her grandma, runs the Flying Spur Ranch. The ranch is hurting for funds and against her grandmother’s wishes, she is going to talk to Big E.  He is her grandmother’s brother and they haven’t spoken in over forty years. Denny, the grandma is absolutely forbidding Corliss to go to Big E. but what other choice does she have? While this is going on, Ryder, the widower firefighter, is back in town, having been injured on his oil rig job.  All he wants is some stability for his daughter.  He decides to go with Corliss to Montana to help her convince Big E. help his family out.  They come up with a fake engagement on the way! Hold on people, it’s going to be a very bumpy but funny ride!

WYOMING PROMISE is the first book in The Blackwells of Eagle Springs series. All of the books are written by different authors and I am so excited its the  beginning of this heart warming series. They can all be read as stand alones. This will introduce you to the Wyoming branch of the infamous Blackwells.  Anna J Stewart writes about characters that become real right before your eyes. All of the characters are very interesting and believable, so much so that I felt as if I’ve known them for a long time. WYOMING PROMISE is a heart tugging and wonderful tale and I loved it. I loved how Ryder was very protective of Corliss but hated that he didn’t think they could have a relationship. He cared for her but couldn’t love her. Confused?  Read the story, you will not regret it! I soon found myself cheering for Corliss and Ryder every time I turned the page.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading WYOMING PROMISE. It is funny and heart warming and filled with so many different emotions. There is so much going on in this story, but Anna J Stewart does a wonderful job of weaving all the pieces together. All of the characters will have you feeling sad and then giggling on the same page. More than once I wanted to be on that ranch with all of these awesome and loving people! The ending was perfect and had me laughing out loud! Once you finish devouring this story, you will find yourself with a huge lump in your throat and tears in your eyes!
