Throwback Thursday meme was hosted by Renee@It’s Book Talk and is a way to share some of your old favorites as well as sharing books that you want to read that were published over a year ago. You know, the ones waiting patiently on your TBR list while you continue to pile more titles on top of them 🙂 These older books are usually much easier than new releases to get a hold of at libraries and elsewhere. If you have your own Throwback Thursday recommendation feel free to jump on board.

Today I’m showcasing a book that I read a few years ago and loved!

In seaside Blueberry Cove, Maine, friends are just another word for family, and big-city politics take a backseat to local pride. But the real treasure on these shores is always love…

When D.C. lawyer Hannah McCrae heads home for her brother’s wedding, she’s dragging a lot of baggage along with her—and she doesn’t mean suitcases. Betrayed personally, and humiliated professionally, the last thing she wants is a new man. That’s fine with square-jawed, rugged contractor Calder Blue. He and Hannah may be wildly attracted to one another, but all he wants is to build the town’s hotly contested new yacht club and mend a centuries-old family feud. Yet thanks to resentments old and new, day after day the pair wind up tangled in each other’s business—and maybe soon in each other’s arms.

Every bride needs something “blue”…

Includes a delicious wedding cake recipe!

SEA GLASS SUNRISE is a great way to start off the Brides of Blueberry Cove series. I felt an instant connection to the characters and wanted to be in Blueberry Cove at the wedding with them. I am usually drawn to stories with a small town feel and this was one of them. I enjoy the connection between family and friends in small towns, because it is exactly what I had growing up.

A personal and professional blow leaves Hannah McCrae, a high powered attorney, unsure of her future. She returns to her home base of Blueberry Cove under the facade that she is only there to attend her brother’s wedding. Upon entering town and being distracted by the beauty she has missed, Hannah runs a stop sign that brings her face to face with sexy contractor and farmer Calder Blue. Oh my, we all need a Calder Blue.

Calder has travelled to Blueberry Cove to conduct some business and to settle a two hundred year old family feud. Becoming involved in a traffic accident with a gorgeous woman was not a part of his plans, though he’s definitely attracted to her. Will his temporary stay in Blueberry Cove turn into something permanent? The whole killing of the sign is such a funny scene that I was laughing out loud.

Calder and Hannah keep bumping into each other all over town, literally. Calder continues to come to her rescue in small ways in the week leading up to the wedding, but soon she comes to his aid as an attorney when there is suspicion that he committed a crime in the name of a family feud. Although there seems to be an instant attraction, and everyone in town is talking, Calder and Hannah each have past experiences that make them leery of true love forever.

SEA GLASS SUNRISE is the perfect way to spend the day. The ways that Hannah and Calder keep running into each other are hilarious and I was doing so much giggling reading their escapades. Plus Hannah’s sisters Fiona and Kerry will have you laughing so hard you will be snorting.

Donna Kauffman’s SEA GLASS SUNRISE is a follow up to the Bachelors of Blueberry Cove, which I am now in a quest to read. There is no need to read the series or books in order, but I know some people have to read series that way. The dialogue between Hannah and Calder is hilarious and the romance sizzling. Included at the end of the book are some delicious recipes, and who doesn’t love that? Donna Kauffman’s stories always leave me smiling and wanting more. I’m so excited to read the next book, SNOWFLAKE BAY, coming out in September 2015.

Thank you for reading and Have an awesome day!!💜📚💜
