But when Joel Yoder comes into town to sell his property, Lydia suddenly finds all of her hopes and dreams crumbling around her and a new opportunity placed in her lap.

Joel has his own problems. Recently jilted by his fiancée, Joel has seen his own dreams of moving to a newly established Amish community begin to falter. The new community welcomes married couples only. With his dreams quickly slipping from his fingers, Joel suddenly sees the only option he thinks he has–a marriage of convenience for both of them.

As the new couple begins life in a new settlement, they are even more surprised when a foster child in need of a home finds her way to them. Yet what will happen when the English world and the Amish world collide?

MY REVIEW:

FOREVER HOME is the first book in the Amish Dreams on Prince Edward Island series.
I’ve never read Amy Grochowski before but I really loved her writing. I was pulled into the story from the first page and I stayed that way until the very last page. The twists and turns keep coming and I had to know how it was going to end! Every time I thought I knew where this story was going, a few pages later, Amy Grochowski threw me for a loop and I knew I was wrong!

FOREVER HOME is a quick read and unputdownable! There were quite a few times when reading it that I wanted to reach into the pages and hug a few of these people with what they were feeling and what they were going through. I found myself laughing one second and then tearing up the next. If you are looking for a beautiful story to pull you out of your book slump, you can’t go wrong with FOREVER HOME. Amy Grochowski is now an author I want to read more of.

The twists and turns in FOREVER HOME are going to keep you up late into the night trying to figure it out. One minute you believe you know where Lydia is going with her life and the next you are sitting there shaking your head, wondering what the heck just happened. I had my ideas, I had it all figured out, or so I thought, and BAM…….wrong again! Once you start reading, trust me, you aren’t going to be able to stop! When everything is finally revealed, well, you won’t believe it!

FOREVER HOME begins with Lydia facing many life changes. She is about to lose her home and her business and it’s all because of Joel Yoder. I thoroughly enjoyed reading FOREVER HOME. I loved the banter between Lydia and Joel. It is heart warming and filled with so many different emotions. There is so much going on in this story, but Amy Grochowski does a wonderful job of weaving all the pieces together. All of the characters will have you feeling sad and then giggling on the same page. More than once I wanted to be there with my new found friends! Once you finish devouring this story, you are going to want to tell everyone you know about this awesome book.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

  3. Wonderful review Susan. I want to read this one for a couple of reasons. Besides your great review, set on PEI interests me. I did not realize there were Amish towns on PEI. I have been there and of course being Canadian I try to read books set in Canada when i can. 📚💖🇨🇦

    1. Yay for Canada!! Canadian Amish and Mennonite groups from Ontario first began to move to PEI in 2016. To the best of my understanding, not all of the groups are the same and range from some very conservative Amish to more modern Mennonites. Of course, the New Hope Amish community in Forever Home is complete fiction but inspired by these real-life new settlements. It’s always wonderful to hear from Canadian readers. I hope you will drop me a line, if you choose to read Forever Home. 🙂

      1. 🙂 It is a small world, isn’t it? My brother married a Canadian, and they live with their three beautiful girls near many Mennonite families in Ontario. I’m thrilled to have written a book set in your amazing country.
