THROWBACK THURSDAY

throwbackthursday

Throwback Thursday meme is hosted by Renee@It’s Book Talk and is a way to share some of your old favorites as well as sharing books that you’re FINALLY getting around to reading that were published over a year ago. You know, the ones waiting patiently on your TBR list while you continue to pile more titles on top of them 🙂! These older books are usually much easier than new releases to get a hold of at libraries and elsewhere. If you have your own Throwback Thursday recommendation feel free to jump on board, you’re welcome to use Renee’s pic as well. If you’d just link back to her @ It’s Book Talk she’d so appreciate it.

This week I’m picking a book I read a few years ago and loved! It is part of a series that I am promising myself to get finished in 2019!  I made the same promise in 2018 and only read two of them! How sad is that? Anyway, I love this series and I honestly don’t know why I haven’t finished it up! I have 12 books to go! Today I’m highlighting the very first one.

FROM GOODREADS:

“Wanted: Midwife/nurse practitioner in Virgin River, population six hundred. Make a difference against the backdrop of towering California redwoods and crystal-clear rivers. Rent-free cabin included.” When the recently widowed Melinda Monroe sees this ad she quickly decides that the remote mountain town of Virgin River might be the perfect place to escape her heartache, and to reenergize the nursing career she loves. But her high hopes are dashed within an hour of arriving: the cabin is a dump, the roads are treacherous and the local doctor wants nothing to do with her. Realizing she’s made a huge mistake, Mel decides to leave town the following morning.

But a tiny baby, abandoned on a front porch, changes her plans…and a former marine cements them into place.

Melinda Monroe may have come to Virgin River looking for escape, but instead she finds her home.

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND THANKS FOR READING!

  1. I should pick this series up and read them in between my ARCs. I do enjoy this author and have read a few of her books here and there. Nice choice Susan. Happy New Year! 🎊🎉🍾🎆
