okay, so I’m going to be brutally honest here and hopefully I don’t lose any followers over this, but I have to get all this crap off my chest. My head is going to explode.

My husband had a great job in January and financially, we were starting to recover. Our bills were being paid, we had two cars, life was good.

Until the day he had a heart attack.  His cardiologist told him to make some life changing decisions or he was going to be dead next time…….omg!! He told him his job and driving to California week after week was too much for his 56 year old body. So after he recovers he tells his boss he can longer travel and you  know what happens..he gets fired…….

Our lives have been some spinning out of control ever since……No pay check since the beginning of February…..he was doing some repair work in the garage to get some cash but it was never enough…….a couple of weeks ago my mini van was repode……..

The week after our electric was shut off.  My husband goes to his friend next door to borrow the money to get the electric turned back on, which we were very grateful that he helped us out.  Well, after a week, the guy starts texting my husband many many times a day……”where’s my money” and my husband keeps telling him as soon as we get it we will pay you back.  This goes on and gets worse and worse everyday. He threatens to run us out of the neighborhood and how he is going to ruin us……..well, my husband got a new job two weeks ago. AWESOME!! We are on the road to recovery right? Nope!! Before he can even get his first paycheck, the neighbor is relentless and my husband has another episode with his heart and I call 911……

Three days later he comes home but not before the neighbor is texting him while he is in the hospital about to have surgery.  Meanwhile, we get served a five day notice from our landlord who just happens to be good friends with the neighbor.  Our May rent still has not been paid, even though we explained about the health issues, and as soon as Brian got his check, we would get caught up…..yup, not good enough!! We went to court today and got evicted.  Then after court my husband and two kids go to the grocery store and when they come out of the store, the car is gone…..repode.

I’m sick over the whole thing……..luckily my husband’s boss is very nice and is helping us out.  Saturday we will be moving into a three bedroom apartment and regrouping…….Our rent will be much cheaper, they have four swimming pools there, and our kids have friends that live there also.  We are fighters, we will get through this and recover.  We aren’t bad people, I promise……..we still plan on paying back the psycho neighbor and the landlord, we just ran out of time………

Anyway, I’m sorry this is so long, but I needed to get it all out.  I’m a strong woman but the heart can only take so much.  I don’t know how long it will take cable to come and hook up our internet and all that so I might be missing for a few days……..

I hope you all have a good weekend and thanks for reading if you still are

I will be back……..

  1. I was very sorry and sad to read this, Susan. You are not a bad person at all for sharing your anxieties and frustrations. I really hope that everything starts coming right for you and your family now.

  2. I can’t LIKE this post. But I do understand. I was in the same position last spring when my husband’s kidney’s failed and he was suddenly disabled. We were fortunate our three children are adults and could help us through the nightmare…and that’s the only word which can describe it.

Keeping you all in prayer for comfort and encouragement, and for a full and complete recovery for your husband. ❤

  3. I’m sending prayers your way! Sounds like the new place is a blessing in SO many ways!! Best of luck to you, and I can’t wait for an update post telling how nice it is to be away from that ******* neighbor, aND how much you love the new place! I wish your husband a turn around in health, and hope he loves the new job.. sometimes the biggest blessings come about through rock bottom trials.
Doesn’t it feel nice to let it out? Rants are the BEST!! (Though you were a little nicer than I would have been 😉)

  4. My dear Susan, I’m so sad to hear about your troubles and I promise I’m not trying to be trite/preachy but I’m a FIRM believer that shit happens for a reason. I went thru a similar circumstance in 2005 and if I can just say…it sucks to be going thru all of that but it taught me to really look at and appreciate the gifts in my kids and my husband. I hope that everything works out for you and your family. Stay strong, hun!!💗💗

  5. Susan I’m just so very sorry your family is undergoing so much trouble. When you get back online, please bring us up to date and don’t forget to look after yourself, even if for only a few minutes a day to maintain your sanity.

  6. Susan, I am so sorry that you have been having hardships. It took courage to share this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The most important thing is to take care of yourself! xoxo

  7. Aww! So sorry you’re going through a tough time right now. I hope it all gets better for you real soon and I hope your husband is able to really get some relaxation time away from crazy people like your neighbor so his heart can get some rest! Take off as much time as you need. We’ll all be here when you get back 🙂

  8. Hi. Wow… I am so sorry you are going through all of this. It’s awful when everything hits at once. Your husband’s health is the most important, so please focus on that… everything else will at some point fall into place, as painful as it sounds. Good luck. Lots of great thoughts being sent your way. And see you when you return. Hugs!

  9. Oh, Susan! I’m so sorry to hear you and your family have been through so much! Positive thoughts! Everything will fall into place, and as Jay said, focus on your husband’s health. I’m always here if you need someone to talk to!

  10. I am so sorry, Susan. It’s not enough that your husband has to go through health issues, but financial issues as well. I’ve often questioned God’s reasoning behind trials like these, and when things calm down I realize that only through these experiences can I help someone else going through trials. Praying for you and your family. There is power in prayer!

  11. Ah, Susan. I’m so sorry to hear this. I knew you had some things going on earlier this year, but thought it was getting better. I hope your husband is okay. And I hope that the move will help make everything that much more manageable. Sometimes life just sucks. 2017 has been a rough year for so many people. Let’s hope the second half of it is all roses for you and your family! You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

  12. Bless you and your family. I hope your husband is able to rest and heal. I hope the new place will be wonderful and that things really start to turn around for you guys. Just know you got a lot of people in this book community thinking of you all!

  13. I’m so, so sorry that all this has been happening to you and your husband 😦 Some people have no kindness or compassion for their fellow people! I’m glad that your husband’s new boss has been helpful and understanding. May this be the start of better, happier times. Thinking of you both ❤

  14. This is so heartbreaking. A time when you should all be focusing on his health and healing and you have so much else to deal with. Hopefully this will be a fresh new start and a happier healthier future is in store for you!!! Best wishes ❤️️

  15. When I press that ‘like’ button, it’s not a form of liking the situation you are going through. It just means that I understand why you have to do this. There’s nothing wrong in sharing your thoughts since it is one of the purposes of blogging in the first place!

I’m sorry for the tough times, but it’ll soon be better! I know that I can only help through words, but I do hope that you’ll stay strong. There are those not caring for you, but don’t forget that there are people supporting you, too! Your husband’s boss is one of them 🙂

Life has many trials, and after this, you’ll become wiser and a better person as a whole. I sincerely hope that everything will go well for you!

  16. So sorry to hear about all this, and I can only hope that things start to improve for you all soon. So much worry for you and at a time when your husband’s health is suffering already. My very best wishes to you.

  17. So sorry to hear about all this! What a horrible snowball of nastiness to have to go through. 😦 Sometimes it’s good to get it off your chest, so feel free to blog about it as much as you need to. Even though real world communities can really suck, I hope it’s a tiny comfort to know that this community is here to support you and listen no matter what you are going through. Take whatever time you need. We’ll be here. 🙂

  18. Sorry to hear your family is having such a hard time. People can be so insensitive sometimes. Best wishes that things get better soon.

  19. I’m so sorry to hear what you and your family are going through. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and I hope the new place is a good new start for you all. Don’t feel bad about venting. We all need to do it sometime and no one here will judge you. hugs

  20. Oh I am so sorry to hear what you and your family have been through, my friend. I hope things get better soon. Sending you all my prayers so you can get through this. Miss you. Don’t worry, we’ll still be here when you come back. #hugs
