Okay guys, I have found my new book boyfriend! Hands off ladies because Keane Winters is all mine! THE TROUBLE WITH MISTLETOE by Jill Shalvis is the second book in the Heartbreaker Bay series. Jill Shalvis always makes me feel so happy with her stories. Not too much drama but just enough fun drama to keep me giggling throughout her books. Willa Davis is the owner of the South Bark Mutt Shop and has sworn off men. Her last boyfriend has turned into a stalker and she doesn’t need anymore heartache in her life.
Too bad life throws her a curve ball when Keane Winters enters her shop looking hot, sexy, delicious, and carrying a pink bedazzled cat carrier. He is watching his aunt’s cat, Petunia who hates him with a vengeance! Willa recognizes him as the boy who broke her heart back in high school but Keane has no idea who she is or why she hates him! Can it get any better than this? You have to read THE TROUBLE WITH MISTLETOE to find out and trust me, you won’t be sorry.
I truly love Jill Shalvis’ contemporary books. She creates characters that pull me right in and never let me go until the very last sentence, and THE TROUBLE WITH MISTLETOE did exactly that. Willa and Keane are both damaged goods, but everything they are afraid of is right in front of them if they could just let go of their pasts and give love a chance. Can they open their hearts and let love in? The secondary characters, Willa’s friends are so cool too! Her friends are back in this story and I love getting to know them more with each book. Willa and the girls are the very best of friends and always have each other’s back.
