Do You Ever Have This Problem?

I have so many books on my TBR mountain, I want to read them all so sometimes it takes me all day to pick one! How do you pick your next read?

  1. I actually create a reading plan each month. It’s a combination of books I’ve obligated myself to read (NetGalley, author review requests), group and “buddy” reads, and series reads I want to keep up with. I have a nice mix of genres so I can somewhat “mood” read. I’m never at a loss as to what to read next. I also keep a running list of books I want to read by month so I don’t lose track. This system was created about four years ago when I couldn’t keep track of it all.

  2. If it’s books from NetGalley for review then I try and read them in order of publication date although not always. In between I try to catch up on other books I have downloaded. There are so many exciting new titles about. I know I just can’t read all the ones I want to – I would never sleep!

  3. I have two lists going: the books I pick out and the books other authors have asked me to review as well as the date they need them by. If I am up-to-date on my author review books, I go to the other list. πŸ™‚
